Internet shopping & cash back sites

By Mrsl

If your anything like me, you’ve used the internet to shop. It’s easy, quick and best of all, you don’t have to stand in any lines, get shoved about or get shop rage with some uncaring individual.

I’m an internet addict and will use the internet for anything I can, whether it be shopping, social sites or just to surf. This is how I came across cash back sites.

So what is a cash back site I hear you cry, simply put it’s a website that rewards it’s members for using them. You create an account, click on the retailer links and shop in the normal way. The website gets a commission for referring you to them, but instead of the site keeping the money, they pass it back to you.

Some cash back sites offer the full 100% cash to you others give you a portion of the revenue. It can all mounts up very quickly.

Most offer a small reward for using search engines such as Kelko, search chief and others. These help top up your earnings through them. Again this has to be done through their site.

You may also receive emails with offers on them and get rewarded for taking up the offer, this could be just looking at the recommended site or entering a competition.

Some cash back sites offer points instead of payment which can later be redeemed for goods, these sites are ideal if you want to let your points build up and then redeem them, for something like Christmas.

The money you earn does take varying times to track and can sometimes be up to 6 weeks before it’s payable. Why? The retailer has to confirm the money has tracked and then has to pay the cash back site that money before they will pay you. There is almost always a minimum amount to reach before you can get paid out. Point reward sites work slightly differently often meaning you can redeem points much quickly for smaller goods.

Many sites offer different ways to pay you, it may be by Paypal, BACS (directly into your bank) or cheque. I prefer to opt for Paypal but have been paid directly into my bank by some.

My advice is don’t use a cash back site for the sake of it, i.e. shopping were you normally wouldn’t just because it offers cash back!! Make sure they are FREE to sign up to!!
